17 May Event WTISD 2015

The key Celebration of ITU’s 150th Anniversary will be held at the CICG venue on 17th May in Geneva, Switzerland with the theme Telecommunication/ICTs: Drivers of Innovation. This international event will bring together some 1000 participants from all over the world representing governments, private sector, academia, UN agencies, various international organizations, civil society, media and other stakeholders.

The event will highlight the indispensable role of ICTs and ITU in economic, social and political development in the past, present and future. On this exceptional day, public from all over the world will be able to join the celebration trough live feeds and will be actively engaged through the remote participation and use of social media, ensuring that the people can participate beyond the walls of CICG.​
