Today, more than ever before, the world has been reduced to just a click or a call away, thanks to the power of communication. Peoples have been empowered; nations have been liberated from poverty; diseases have been eliminated within unimaginable shorter times that would have been the case - a case in point is the Ebola in Africa. All these, and innumerable other benefits the world has gained, thanks to the tireless work of the ITU and its futuristic leaders. As the ITU celebrates 150 years of leading the world to new possibilities, I wish all the good people that work in the ITU strength, guidance and insights.
